18-07-2012 13.30
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 2235 that came out to
La Sombra del Viento.
Marc Schafflützel was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Rodolphe Gisler-Regli and
Ralf Denhaide.
Zafon had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
The following players had been chosen: van der Marel - Willebrands, Aloisi, Gobert - Deras, Maceda, Flinkstedt, Pacławski, Scrima - Maldague, Vanverre.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Totipotens69.
Starters: Zanirato - Maldonado Chacón, Laureau, García de Paredes, Perović - Marco, Suzanić, Kiełb, Cardoso - Živanić, Prunaru.
For their match strategy, Totipotens69 had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible.
A. Vanverre enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again.
Totipotens69's
M. García de Paredes gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 13 minutes with a superb strike from the right.
Some fine movement on the left led to a Totipotens69 goal after 28 minutes, making it 0 - 2.
C. Prunaru was noted down as the scorer.
Totipotens69's
A. Kiełb left the field after 37 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
A. Mitricã.
Halftime score was 0 - 2.
Possession was split evenly between the teams.
It wasn't a good day at all for
D. Scrima. His powerful style of play just didn't fit the bill on this warm day.
Zafon's
M. Maceda got himself booked for a foul.
Unfortunately for Totipotens69,
G. Perović was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field.
V. Karaneshev replaced him.
A late sliding challenge from
M. Maceda was deemed to be his second yellow card offence by the referee, resulting in him being sent off, and Zafon left a man down.
After 67 minutes, Totipotens69's
U. Zanirato fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit!
C. Prunaru increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 3.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Totipotens69 lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
C. Prunaru left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 87 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
J. Sabater was the replacement.
Totipotens69 had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.
Zafon's top performer was clearly
J. Willebrands.
J. Maldague on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The most dominating Totipotens69 player was without a doubt
U. Zanirato.
However,
J. Sabater made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 0 - 3.
