WLEWO seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. Today, Exploding's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. The visiting C. Clignet was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 8 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. The home crowd was not impressed when G. De Ruyver came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 16 minutes. Exploding were now up 0 - 2. Exploding's C. Clignet was shown a yellow card after 28 minutes for slicing down an opponent. WLEWO's K. Bauza got himself booked for a foul. C. Clignet behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 31 minutes as he gave the ball away to D. Rouvière. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. K. Bauza almost reduced the deficit, having drawn the entire left side defence away, but the shot went straight into the arms of the goalkeeper. After 40 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for C. Clignet who increased Exploding's lead to 0 - 3. P. Marcolini could have added one to the visitors' lead if his free kick had gone just a little lower. It was 0 - 3 at the break. Exploding enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 67 percent of possession.

Players in Exploding heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. A drive down the left side allowed A. Marques to get in close and score another goal for Exploding after 48 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 4. Exploding increased their lead after 51 minutes when C. Clignet broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 5, much to the home crowd's dismay. At that, C. Clignet was noted down for a hat trick! By now, the players in Exploding felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. 58 minutes in, WLEWO's D. Rouvière received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Exploding's P. Marcolini left the field after 66 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was E. Miller. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 78 minutes, Exploding did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, D. Hachimi was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 0 - 6. It was obvious that Exploding had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, L. Dekeukeleire would have put Exploding up another goal 79 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. Exploding claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 69 percent.

J. Klemets performed admirably for WLEWO. J. Szydlak on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Exploding player was without a doubt A. Marques. On the other hand, C. Clignet's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 6.
