previous 6/10 next 8/10  F.C. 0 - 1 Kakosport (393333362)

The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 1803 had shown up at I Gladiatori for the match. Kalle Nojonen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Rune Christiansen and Eduard Javorník. F.C. decided to use a 3-5-1 set up. The following players had been chosen: Buravtsov - Di Nucci, Joita, Tzutzumanov - Joho, Brtek, Rakham, Buller, Barać - Balázs.

Kakosport tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. They fielded: Cànoves - Madariaga, Mondet, Puig, Rojas Solís - Arambide, Díaz de Ledesma, Ramos, Echevarriabengoa, Ferrueros - Zubillaga.

Kakosport used their skill at pressing to cut off the attack angles of their opponents all over the field. 8 minutes into the game, F.C. had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to poor. F.C.'s C. Balázs got himself booked for a foul. The Kakosport free kick 21 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of J. Puig, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 0 - 1! At this time in the match, Kakosport were using their skill at pressing to successfully stifle the game. After 30 minutes F.C.'s V. Barać limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. 0 - 1 was the halftime score. Kakosport had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that F.C. had passable organisation. S. Echevarriabengoa received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 59 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. 64 minutes in, Kakosport's A. Ramos received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. After 69 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as F.C. found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to weak. The referee showed Kakosport's P. Díaz de Ledesma the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Possession in this half belonged to Kakosport, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

F.C.'s top performer was clearly C. Balázs. However, F. Joho made a disastrous appearance. Most important Kakosport player was R. Zubillaga. A. Ramos was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 1.
