FIGHT 8 - 0 Spetsnaz
(393340478)

17-07-2012 19.05
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 1146 that came out to
Arena dei Leoni.
Juraj Kutlák was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jens Arolser and
Henri van Dal.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for FIGHT.
The following players took the field: Ghiurcănaş - Margarida, Lendzion, Sollami - Protut, Kainbacher, Taraš, Freitas, Zwart - Metodiev, Hasar.
Spetsnaz started off with a 4-5-1 lineup.
Starters: Zmeu - Pulleiro, Busonero, Erberk, Arca - Óvári, Lauriol, Licciardello, Plaar, Rosa - Sarno.
Spetsnaz were relying on their ability to counter-attack.
After some beautiful movement down the left wing,
F. Kainbacher scored for FIGHT putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 2 minutes.
S. Lendzion had a fantastic opportunity to put FIGHT up another goal 5 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
The score became 2 - 0 at 19 minutes into the game, when FIGHT were given a penalty which
B. Freitas blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance!
A. Metodiev of FIGHT was able to make an impressive rush past the sluggish
S. Erberk, which resulted in a goal making the score 3 - 0.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as FIGHT scored another to make it 4 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
A. Metodiev after 23 minutes.
By now, the players in FIGHT felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
With 30 minutes played, FIGHT put themselves up 5 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
V. Taraš, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
It was 5 - 0 at the break.
FIGHT enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 84 percent of possession.
Spetsnaz needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 46 minutes
E. Pulleiro made way for
F. Musumeci.
F. Kainbacher should probably have put his team up another goal after 59 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
M. Zmeu kept the visitors in the game.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in FIGHT's
S. Lendzion increasing the lead to 6 - 0.
FIGHT's
M. Protut refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 64 minutes.
71 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
E. Hasar broke through, making the score 7 - 0 for FIGHT.
After 75 minutes, Spetsnaz's
S. Erberk fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit!
The fierce heat made it important to save breath, and after a few swift runs
A. Metodiev found it hard to get back into position.
FIGHT increased the lead as
V. Taraš struck to make the score 8 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper.
With 84 minutes played,
L. Óvári had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot flew harmlessly into the side-netting of the goal.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Spetsnaz's
S. Rosa was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 85 minutes.
B. Gustavsson was given a chance to change things around.
FIGHT claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 86 percent.
FIGHT's top performer was clearly
B. Freitas.
M. Margarida on the other hand, had a terrible day.
R. Sarno performed admirably for Spetsnaz.
L. Óvári was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 8 - 0.
