Due to an all-day shower, 363 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at The Strongest Blues Stadium. Maurice Esch was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mauro Marín and Jimmy Frooninckx. Strongest decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Strongest. Given a free kick close to the byline, Orestitos tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let O. Berbec slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 0 - 1, 4 minutes into the game. R. Rouvoet slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today. Orestitos's F. Aceituno was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - R. Košmrl managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 0 - 2 after 10 minutes. The home crowd was not impressed when S. Kosk came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 13 minutes. Orestitos were now up 0 - 3. 広. 中村 (Nakamura) didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain. S. Kosk could have added one to the visitors' lead if his free kick had gone just a little lower. The home crowd cheered when, after 35 minutes, R. Košmrl's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. The home keeper was stunned 36 minutes into the match when he misjudged the free kick by S. Kosk and dived in the wrong direction. The visitors increased the lead to 0 - 4. After this, you could see that the players of Orestitos were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. 0 - 4 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Orestitos, with 77 percent of the ball.

The coach of Orestitos was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 46 minutes, T. Altenburg came on for S. Santoriello. J. Cueva of Orestitos received a yellow card after 58 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. R. Košmrl came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over T. Benvenuto but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. E. Huayanca left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 75 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. P. Fabián was the replacement. The Orestitos players could smell victory in the air. R. Košmrl wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for N. Chevallier after 75 minutes. Strongest's S. Heisson was shown a yellow card after 75 minutes for slicing down an opponent. There was no way Orestitos's T. Altenburg could continue to play after this, and no replacements were available! With 81 minutes played, R. Rouvoet nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. T. Benvenuto got a fingertip on F. Aceituno's shot from the left 83 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. Possession in this half belonged to Orestitos, who controlled the ball 76 percent of the time.

J. Palacios performed admirably for Strongest. A. Narciso was a disappointment, however. Orestitos's best player was J. Cueva. On the other hand, I. Tschopp's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 4.
