Grifo saw most attack opportunities on the wings. The visiting J. Frajdl was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 13 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. After 18 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed T. Karaman to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 2. Grifo's N. Cavalcanti got himself booked for a foul. EmSeNa increased their lead after 31 minutes when T. van der Dop broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay. Confident in their lead, EmSeNa's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 3. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grifo, with 51 percent of the ball.

T. Filipov enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. EmSeNa mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 72 minutes, but D. Alcañiz Gimeno was unable to convert from short range. With 73 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed T. van der Dop of EmSeNa to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 4. C. Carpignoli neatly controlled the ball after a short corner, and knocked it on to C. Crisafulli who had the whole net open before him, but only managed to hit the post. P. Szysz of EmSeNa took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 87 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 5. Possession in this half belonged to EmSeNa, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.

J. Csankó performed admirably for Grifo. E. Garrido was a disappointment, however. EmSeNa's best player was P. Szysz. On the other hand, T. Karaman's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 5.
