Kochaj was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 34 minutes. 35 minutes into the game, A. Arrondo almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. 40 minutes into the game, rossoneri had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for rossoneri, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. A. de Araújo came close to putting the visiting team one up 42 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but G. Losurdu managed to tip the ball to a corner. 0 - 0 was the halftime score. rossoneri claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 66 percent.

A review of the gameplan helped rossoneri get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. After 58 minutes, the home side was awarded a penalty. Grilli broke through on the left and put the 2 - 1 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. 87 minutes into the match the visitors levelled the score at 2 - 2 as A. Arrondo struck home from a rebound off the crossbar, following a shot from the right. rossoneri had most of the ball, with 63 percent of possession.

Miccas's best player was M. Naranjo. On the other hand, P. Flores's play was disheartening. D. Iturrieta performed admirably for rossoneri. However, A. Abbieri made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 2.
