A great save by keeper J. Gailat after 57 minutes kept the visitors in the game after M. Fresneda struck from the left with a real cannonball. In an effort to secure the lead, Fighters changed their tactic after 77 minutes. After 82 minutes, Wisconsin's I. Runge fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! Fighters put themselves up 2 - 0 when M. Olczyk broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. A. Aumaître had a couple of good opportunities to reply, but the home team's keeper S. Blanckaert was simply unbeatable. R. Grim of Fighters was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. M. Fresneda unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. After 89 minutes, the defensive line of Wisconsin created a counterattack through the middle that gave A. Holton a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. The home crowd was silenced as V. Matei took a successful penalty shot 89 minutes into the game, reducing the home lead to 2 - 1. Z. Diez neatly controlled the ball after a short corner, and knocked it on to M. Olczyk who had the whole net open before him, but only managed to hit the post. Fighters claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

Fighters's top performer was clearly M. Olczyk. V. Atzori was a disappointment, however. D. Bradford performed admirably for Wisconsin. On the other hand, M. Bidstrup's play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 1.
