18-07-2012 17.55
Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 2492 at
Miszczowski Stadion today.
Eusebius Windeck was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Fridrich Leesi and
Martti Kerman.
Miszczunie tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
Starters: Servutis - Desmet, Zappenduster, Blatnický - Simionescu, Polakowski, Botilla, Prusaczyk, Ploch - Golak, Cariño.
Hopeloos started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
Lineup: Geerinck - Baré, Tudor, Nivellini - Goldsmith, Moreau, Virgulti, Westby, Carrey - Vankeersbilck, Siuru.
Miszczunie took the lead 8 minutes into the match after a magnificent free kick by
K. Desmet that made the score 1 - 0.
With 22 minutes of the game having been played,
A. Geerinck received a blow to the hip in a collision and was unable to continue. Hopeloos, with no available replacements, now faced the prospect of finishing the game with a reduced number of players.
With the goal left unguarded,
K. Vankeersbilck had to leave his normal position and pick up the gloves.
After 25 minutes, Miszczunie raised their score by one when
R. Ploch's dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post by
E. Golak. 2 - 0.
With 26 minutes played, Miszczunie's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to
G. Botilla he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 3 - 0.
The players of Miszczunie now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
G. Botilla increased the lead for Miszczunie to 4 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
Halftime score was 4 - 0.
Possession in this half belonged to Miszczunie, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.
With 48 minutes played,
V. Simionescu could have brought this one home for Miszczunie as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high.
Hopeloos breathed new life into the game with an opportunity to reduce the score after 52 minutes, but the home side's defenders cleared the ball on the line, after a long shot coming in from the left rebounded off the crossbar.
Miszczunie's
K. Desmet somehow missed a penalty 72 minutes into the match, much to the crowd's displeasure.
R. Polakowski could have put Miszczunie up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 75 minutes.
After 79 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
E. Golak might have resulted in another goal for Miszczunie. However,
K. Vankeersbilck made a spectacular save.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
B. Prusaczyk got himself booked. The manager of Miszczunie was not happy.
Miszczunie enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.
Most important Miszczunie player was
R. Polakowski.
However,
B. Servutis made a disastrous appearance.
Hopeloos's top performer was clearly
J. Siuru.
K. Vankeersbilck was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 4 - 0.
