Clear skies welcomed the 1565 spectators who had made their way to Pastor Daniel Machado. Cristiano saw most attack opportunities on the wings. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of _Chemist_'s T. Danilczyk after 5 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. The referee showed _Chemist_'s H. Caldas the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After 23 minutes of play, K. Lopez evened things up for Cristiano with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 1 - 1. After a fine move down the middle K. Lopez nearly gave the home side a goal after 32 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. Cristiano took the lead after 36 minutes as a result of C. Talamás's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 2 - 1. Halftime score was 2 - 1. Cristiano claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

The coach of Cristiano was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 60 minutes, D. Kane came on for R. Icart. A free kick just outside of the visitors' penalty area after 62 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but M. Gómez got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar. J. Ulaszek left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 65 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. P. Suárez was the replacement. Cristiano's K. Lopez was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 68 minutes. The home crowd was dismayed when the referee called a penalty for _Chemist_ after 69 minutes. F. Gambetta calmly took the shot and scored. The game was level at 2 - 2. Cristiano fans held their breath as P. Suárez scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 3 - 2! With 75 minutes played, the _Chemist_ coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. B. Marinho Jr. came on, R. Dardanelli had to leave the fray. Cristiano put themselves up 4 - 2 when A. Brodsky broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Cristiano's K. Lopez had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 80 minutes having been played. N. Pfuderer was the replacement. Possession in this half belonged to Cristiano, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

N. Pfuderer performed admirably for Cristiano. However, L. Irigaray made a disastrous appearance. _Chemist_'s best player was H. Caldas. M. Gómez turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 2.
