The 342 spectators at Danielson Stadium were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Dave Hurkmans was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Dion Larsen and Jan Torsson. Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Vollgas. H. Mössner caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 5 minutes. This gave Vollgas the 1 - 0 lead. Vollgas made it 2 - 0 as V. Padieu got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to M. Weisskopf who whipped a low drive in off the far post. With 11 minutes played, Vollgas put themselves up 3 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to M. Weisskopf, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Cheers filled the stadium as I. Melkko broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 0 to Vollgas. Vollgas solidified their lead at the 28 minute mark, as L. Gellhardt dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 5 - 0. Confident in their lead, Vollgas's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Halftime score was 5 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Vollgas, with 57 percent of the ball.

A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Vollgas to 6 - 0 as R. Warden finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. S. Flaczyński didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, I. Melkko got himself booked. The manager of Vollgas was not happy. With 63 minutes played, Vollgas's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to V. Padieu he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 7 - 0. Vollgas's L. Gellhardt got himself booked for a foul. R. Warden increased the lead for Vollgas to 8 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! Vollgas had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

Vollgas's top performer was clearly M. Weisskopf. However, A. Hübner made a disastrous appearance. Most important Mummenschanz player was S. Flaczyński. A. Hernández on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 8 - 0.
