Real 2 - 1 A-Team
(393377942)

17-07-2012 19.05
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 933 that came out to
Hills Arena.
Artur Eanes was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Semen Antoshkin and
Sancho Ruiz García.
Real started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
Lineup: Herold - Lazović, Laboreiro, Herrero - Crugliano, Tomasov, Balluku, Pirletti, Teotino - Pruccoli, Glawitsch.
A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for A-Team.
The following players had been chosen: Cajada - Mükrim, Zhitomirskiy - Ginobili, Lato, Tysnes, Pellencin, Nunes - Rusen, Piseddu, Tadić.
A-Team mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle.
Real had a chance to take the lead after
M. Pirletti's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 15 minutes.
J. Lazović of Real received a yellow card after 17 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
Real took the lead 26 minutes in, as
M. Balluku broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper.
With 32 minutes played, Real's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to
B. Pruccoli he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 2 - 0.
It was 2 - 0 at the break.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Real, with 74 percent of the ball.
The bench was restless, and with 46 minutes passed A-Team's coach gave
D. Verdonk the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
D. Rusen reluctantly left the field.
After 46 minutes, A-Team switched
L. Piseddu with
J. Delacour, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch.
A-Team needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 46 minutes
Z. Nunes made way for
Á. Návay.
M. Glawitsch unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide.
The away team improved the scoreline to 2 - 1, as
D. Verdonk struck home, set up well by a play on the left 56 minutes into the match.
The sun seemed to put
D. Verdonk in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long.
Usually a powerful player on the field,
M. Balluku looked kind of pale and tired under the hot sun.
Coming from the right,
F. Crugliano almost managed to score another goal for Real, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
J. Delacour from A-Team a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 85 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Real enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 73 percent of possession.
Real's best player was
M. Balluku.
P. Teotino was a disappointment, however.
Most important A-Team player was
I. Tadić.
On the other hand,
P. Lato's play was disheartening.
The match ends 2 - 1.
