(393402395)

18-07-2012 12.05
Clouds darkened the skies at
Pazo Almuzara Arena as 665 spectators turned up for the match.
Petar Choroleev was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Bengt Brandborn and
Ezio Mangione.
Almuzara had chosen a strategic 4-3-3 formation.
The following players took the field: Sonne - Kärcher, Bujar, Berge, Fernández Romero - Krivošija, Pourtavvaf, Hristov - Luttazzi, Pletziger, Sav.
School decided to use a 3-4-3 set up.
Starters: Luder - Ducasse, Schurink, Drgas - Viheriäranta, Reitenbach, Peretz, Tutorić - Adam, Besnier, Casa.
School clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle.
D. Peretz delivered a good free kick from an excellent position 4 minutes into the game, but luck wasn't on School's side this time and the ball went wide.
E. Reinl was called on to replace Almuzara's
R. Sav after 13 minutes following a nasty collision.
20 minutes into the game, School had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
inadequate.
Central attacks were the recipe of the day for School, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity.
Making his way up the middle 34 minutes into the match,
E. Reinl almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert
A. Luder blocked it to keep the score level.
School's
S. Adam got himself booked for a foul.
B. Berge couldn't finish the match after being injured, leaving Almuzara a man down.
School players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead.
After 40 minutes, School's
D. Besnier made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1.
G. Ducasse of School received a yellow card after 41 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
0 - 1 was the halftime score.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by School, with 52 percent of the ball.
During the break, School's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to
solid organisation.
D. Besnier came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over
T. Sonne but overcooked it and hit the bar instead.
After 76 minutes, Almuzara's
T. Sonne fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit!
Almuzara's
E. Reinl almost tied things up with 77 minutes played after breaking through on the right, but his shot deflected off the post.
78 minutes into the match,
M. Viheriäranta came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide.
After 79 minutes Almuzara's
E. Bujar contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game.
D. Besnier of School was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
School had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.
The most dominating Almuzara player was without a doubt
N. Luttazzi.
On the other hand,
H. Pletziger's play was disheartening.
School's best player was
G. Ducasse.
However,
M. Viheriäranta made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 0 - 1.
