previous 4/10 next 6/10  F.C. Tzaov 2 - 3 RBS (393403385)

Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 60000 at Yellow Hell today. Jacek Sierota was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Percy Patrick and Luis Cebada. F.C. Tzaov started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: Berk - Bisek, Zalazar, Arangelov - Schwentke, La Barbera, Amiot, Willinger, Ritthaler - Öğet, 七 (Qi).

RBS had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. Lineup: Khan - Nissbeck, Napoleão, Nipoti, Gattoni - Baczkowski, Birok, Baré, Zelenyánszki - Holweide, Bidois.

It was an obvious ambition of F.C. Tzaov to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. RBS clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. M. Nissbeck neatly controlled the ball after a short corner, and knocked it on to M. Holweide who had the whole net open before him, but only managed to hit the post. RBS's M. Nissbeck was shown a yellow card after 21 minutes for slicing down an opponent. F.C. Tzaov were forced into a substitution as 薛. 七 (Qi) couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing A. Åkesson to come in off the bench. RBS had a great opportunity to score following a counterattack after 24 minutes, but T. Bidois's shot from the left sailed high over the bar. RBS's T. Bidois could have put the guests one up after 28 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but S. Berk was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. D. Nipoti showed why he is feared on the counterattack, breaking through in the middle and scoring for RBS after 32 minutes to make the score 0 - 1. F.C. Tzaov's M. Schwentke put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 33 minutes, but the ball went wide. M. Holweide finished off the counterattack of RBS from the left rather easily, making the score 0 - 2. After 40 minutes, F.C. Tzaov used a short break in the game to take new instructions from their coach. After 40 minutes F.C. Tzaov's F. Amiot contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2. F.C. Tzaov enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.

A marvellous F.C. Tzaov effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 47 minutes by U. Willinger, making the score 1 - 2. As the game started to slip away for F.C. Tzaov, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. F.C. Tzaov's E. Öğet got himself booked for a foul. F.C. Tzaov put pressure on the visitors' central defence 69 minutes into the game, but F. Amiot couldn't find an opening. With 71 minutes played, the F.C. Tzaov coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. E. Özinan came on, R. Bisek had to leave the fray. 75 minutes in, F.C. Tzaov's A. La Barbera received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Unfortunately for RBS, I. Khan was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. E. Karpenko replaced him. The F.C. Tzaov coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy. Under heavy pressure after 77 minutes, the inexperienced RBS struggled to maintain their level of play. The crowd chanted their encouragement as F.C. Tzaov's T. Arangelov came in from the right after 80 minutes and put the ball in the net to level the score at 2 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by F.C. Tzaov, with 66 percent of the ball.

As neither team had managed to win, extra time was called. The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that RBS had solid organisation. F.C. Tzaov had a good opportunity to take the lead as U. Willinger came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of E. Karpenko. RBS's Z. Zelenyánszki was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - M. Holweide managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 2 - 3 after 109 minutes. With that RBS had won the game in extra time. F.C. Tzaov's top performer was clearly E. Öğet. E. Özinan on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating RBS player was without a doubt M. Holweide. However, E. Karpenko made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 3.
