(393412790)

25-07-2012 12.00
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 50329 that came out to
Fortaleza Okidoki.
Alfred Cherchesov was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ragnar Østbergh and
Gonzalo Vilallonga.
At.Okidoki tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Şerb - Pyrrö, Bodea - das Cabanas, Benavides, Mitrev, Nieva, Saresera - Ahmed, Ritto, Rozwałka.
EH Celtic decided to use a 4-5-1 set up.
They fielded: Dardé - Rovira, Queralt, César, Carul - Bretoña, Abeixón, Ribas, Giráldez, Viñas - Yong.
The wings were the focus of most of At.Okidoki's attacks today.
Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for EH Celtic.
EH Celtic had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 15 minutes in when
Á. Giráldez came up alone against
V. Şerb who managed a block.
At 23 minutes played,
T. Ahmed came in from the right with the intention of giving At.Okidoki the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar.
EH Celtic caught their opponents out with a clever counterattack down the right wing 24 minutes into the match.
J. Queralt was able to finish off the move - 0 - 1.
After 35 minutes, a well-worked counterattack by EH Celtic on the right presented an easy opportunity in front of the goal that was duly converted by
E. Rovira to make it 0 - 2.
At.Okidoki had a brilliant opportunity to reply as
B. Rozwałka received a high ball from the right, striking the ball in the air. Only
B. Dardé's reflexes saved him.
EH Celtic showed their counterattack skill 37 minutes into the match by breaking through the middle, with
Á. Giráldez scoring uncontested for 0 - 3.
After 38 minutes
S. Mitrev could have reduced the lead with a blistering strike from the left wing, had it not been for an excellent block by the visitors' keeper.
It was 0 - 3 at the break.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by At.Okidoki, with 66 percent of the ball.
A. César enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again.
EH Celtic's
A. César made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 65 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line.
The At.Okidoki coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy.
The bench was restless, and with 71 minutes passed At.Okidoki's coach gave
M. Jergens the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
S. Mitrev reluctantly left the field.
As the captain was no longer on the pitch,
G. Benavides took over the role of being the At.Okidoki captain.
As usual,
M. Carul tried to use his strength and hard work for the benefit of the team, but the heat hit him hard and he couldn't keep pace at all.
A marvellous At.Okidoki effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 80 minutes by
A. Nieva, making the score 1 - 3.
At.Okidoki claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.
The most dominating At.Okidoki player was without a doubt
M. Ritto.
M. Jergens turned in a dismal performance, however.
G. Yong performed admirably for EH Celtic.
B. Viñas on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 1 - 3.
