previous 1/10 next 3/10  PFG 2 - 3 Fridge (393417843)

Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 49355 to PFG FC Arena. Joakim Ramen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Rihard Vošner and Giorgio Urso. People from all over København had joined up for the derby. PFG started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: Moule - Fuglsang, Wittmann, Suduł - Yrsch, Plessmann, Ciceri, Jensen, Skov - Berthelsen, Bramsen.

Fridge decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players took the field: Sgrava - Hellwig, Muik, Afonso - Pardo, Cienfuegos, Stabel, Chagan, Faßhauer - Hajdari, Matejík.

The terraces were silenced after 21 minutes when Fridge's I. Cienfuegos put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right. S. Plessmann charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equaliser for PFG, but the shot went well wide of the goal. U. Hellwig increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 2. PFG refused to be intimidated and, breaking through the middle, B. Yrsch managed to slip the ball home for 1 - 2. Fridge's T. Afonso got himself booked for a foul. R. Moule's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for PFG, he bravely continued in the match. 1 - 2 was the score after the first half. Fridge enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.

Just a few inches to the right, and the visitors could have had a goal 48 minutes into the match. R. Muik surely wishes he could do that free kick over again. U. Hellwig of Fridge was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. After 60 minutes, PFG switched H. Bramsen with E. Gustavsson, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. 60 minutes in, and PFG were able to score the equalising goal to make it 2 - 2 when E. Gustavsson picked up a pass coming in from the right and chipped it past the away team's keeper. 61 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but T. Afonso, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide. The guests took the lead 76 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in P. Matejík scoring to make it 2 - 3. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Fridge, with 56 percent of the ball.

The most dominating PFG player was without a doubt L. Berthelsen. F. Jensen was a disappointment, however. Most important Fridge player was P. Matejík. J. Faßhauer on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 3.
