Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 50000 at Filio Cottage today. Matthäus Neuhofer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Luka Macokatić and Yonah Koot. Filio had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Krappe - Baysel, Alemany, Rivas - Rieblinger, Lukassen, Tjallingii, Wildeman, Santella - Meunier, Jiménez Xixona.

Chaos decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Starters: van Essen - van Etten, Walschap, Akyüzlü - Kalkman, Sjouwerman, Snoeij, Wiegmann, Graaff - Kusters, Wolfs.

Chaos took the lead 10 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. B. Kalkman was the scorer. The referee showed Filio's F. Santella the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After 16 minutes, Chaos raised their score by one when N. Graaff's dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post by T. Kusters. 0 - 2. 22 minutes into the game a free kick by H. Wolfs found its way through the home side's poorly assembled defensive formation, making Chaos's lead 0 - 3. A marvellous Filio effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 40 minutes by R. Jiménez Xixona, making the score 1 - 3. Filio didn't give in and with 42 minutes played J. Tjallingii was able to make the score 2 - 3 after an attack on the right. 2 - 3 was the halftime score. Filio enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

F. Santella was just a finger's breadth away from an equaliser for Filio with a strike from the left, but V. van Essen managed to ward the shot off for a corner. With 61 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed T. Kusters of Chaos to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 2 - 4. Unhappy with the result so far in the game, the Filio manager used a brief break in play after 65 minutes to give the players new directives. After 65 minutes, Filio used a short break in the game to take new instructions from their coach. Filio refused to be intimidated and, breaking through the middle, P. Rivas managed to slip the ball home for 3 - 4. 70 minutes into the match, Filio's P. Lukassen maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 4 - 4. C. Meunier caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 72 minutes. This gave Filio the 5 - 4 lead. The Filio coach was visibly pleased with the score so far, but still ordered a few tactical changes 75 minutes into the game. After 76 minutes, the Filio players received new instructions from their manager on how to keep in control of the game. Filio claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

Filio's top performer was clearly Z. Wildeman. On the other hand, A. Krappe's play was disheartening. H. Snoeij performed admirably for Chaos. K. van Etten was a disappointment, however. The match ends 5 - 4.
