T. Viitasalo would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. P. Palluzzi received a blow to the hip in a collision and was unable to continue. Brunolascimmia, with no available replacements, now faced the prospect of finishing the game with a reduced number of players. There was still no winner after 30 minutes of extra time so the teams had to select a lineup for a penalty shoot-out to settle the result.

Martusciello didn't look like he was confident as he stepped up, and produced a badly struck penalty - right into the arms of R. Harkányi. The score remained 0 - 0. Brunolascimmia's D. Fumagalli penalty shot was very well placed but G. Caldiero went the right way, blocking it spectacularly. The score was still 0 - 0. Clearly nervous from the start, REBRACA's J. Bagur took a long run up, but could only blast the ball over the bar. The score remains 0 - 0. Brunolascimmia's B. Bertollo looked like he knew exactly where he wanted to put the ball, but unfortunately his shot went wide of the left hand post. Still 0 - 0. Oooh - how unlucky! REBRACA's M. Gogava attempt hit the underside of the bar, but rebounded down into the grateful arms of R. Harkányi. The score stays 0 - 0. Brunolascimmia's V. Chinigò looked nervous even as he was putting the ball on the spot. He didn't take much of a run up, and his weak shot was easily saved by the keeper. Clearly nervous from the start, REBRACA's V. Biunno took a long run up, but could only blast the ball over the bar. The score remains 0 - 0. Brunolascimmia's F. Fornasini was relaxed as he smoothly put the ball in the net. 0 - 1! The most dominating REBRACA player was without a doubt A. Spaccamonti. J. Bagur on the other hand, had a terrible day. Brunolascimmia's best player was K. Bjørnsen. On the other hand, R. Harkányi's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 1.
