Clear skies welcomed the 890 spectators who had made their way to The Twilight Zone. Edgar Honningsvåg was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Franz Decurtins and Ernst Jallajas. Senseman could have put Panthers up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 25 minutes. A cross coming in on the right hand side left H. Tilge alone in front of the goal after 28 minutes but his shot was woeful. 33 minutes into the game, N. Božićević had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came P. Rupp. Cheers filled the stadium as N. Wenz broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to Panthers. Southpark's H. Tilge was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 41 minutes. With 42 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, N. Pamparana needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. Panthers had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.

After 53 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and E. Côté gave the Panthers supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 0. Panthers's A. Găinar increased the lead to 4 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 58 minutes. The players of Panthers now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. After 65 minutes a very unfortunate collision in the penalty area led to Southpark's B. Gatlik being carried off the pitch and replaced by D. Chwiłkowski. Southpark had to make a substitution after 73 minutes. N. Dupont limped off the field and was replaced by E. Grigore. Panthers increased the lead as L. Amoth struck to make the score 5 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. A well placed corner kick from H. Tilge was followed by D. Hunsberger's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Southpark, the score now 5 - 1. After 82 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by N. Flück might have resulted in another goal for Panthers. However, P. Lomba made a spectacular save. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Panthers, with 59 percent of the ball.

Most important Panthers player was N. Flück. E. Côté on the other hand, had a terrible day. Southpark's top performer was clearly E. Grigore. On the other hand, D. Fischetti's play was disheartening. The match ends 5 - 1.
