Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 2965 at brandkast Arena today. Torben Glaß was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Antonio Casanovas and Charlie Bernhardsson. brandkast had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Byron tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Starters: Garoldi - Maccarinelli, Dumitriu, Davato - Alavila, Azzi, Petrella, Popov, Giaccio - Deplano, Galbi.

brandkast clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. Byron were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. Byron had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 4 minutes in when Q. Azzi came up alone against G. Dujmović who managed a block. The terraces were silenced after 5 minutes when Byron's L. Giaccio put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right. Some fine movement on the left led to a Byron goal after 18 minutes, making it 0 - 2. Q. Azzi was noted down as the scorer. 23 minutes in, Byron's R. Deplano received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. M. Davato behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 25 minutes as he gave the ball away to L. Damgaard. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. The visitors almost increased their lead after 32 minutes when a sweetly hit free kick looked like it was heading for the top corner. However the keeper managed to get a fingertip to it, sending it over the bar. Halftime score was 0 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to Byron, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.

After 52 minutes, Byron sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached C. Dumitriu, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 0 - 3. brandkast's M. Kaufmanis was shown a yellow card after 59 minutes for slicing down an opponent. After 71 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave N. Alavila a chance to increase the lead for Byron, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 4. With 72 minutes gone, Byron had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, Q. Azzi did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. After 76 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed L. Giaccio to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 5. The players of Byron now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Byron enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 61 percent of possession.

C. Simonsson performed admirably for brandkast. M. Kaufmanis on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Byron player was without a doubt S. Popov. On the other hand, C. Dumitriu's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 5.
