A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 3131 to El cau. Linus Thorstensson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Slobodan Popović and Nicolas Alliot. A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Sagetes. They fielded: Kaiser - Kotipelto, Mägi, Schwarzschild, Magliacane - Gemănaru, Soutukorva, Stantz, Gawai, Cuartas - Zurita.

FCT had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. Starters: Lombard - Martin, Gibelin, Hellgren - Duchenne, Laigneau, Pesulima, Juste - Bonnière, Dodane, Pluchart.

FCT displayed their ability to play creatively. The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 5 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from M. Cuartas, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Sagetes to 2 - 0 as S. Mägi finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. With 16 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock, FCT showed some good skill and were able to reduce the score to 2 - 1 when G. Pluchart got past the home side's central defenders right in front of the goal. With 19 minutes gone, FCT had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, L. Martin did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. Given a free kick close to the byline, FCT tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let G. Pluchart slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 2 - 2, 21 minutes into the game. It was 2 - 2 at the break. Sagetes claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 63 percent.

G. Gemănaru of Sagetes seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 3 - 2 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by S. Mägi. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Sagetes scored another to make it 4 - 2 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for G. Magliacane after 68 minutes. An accurate cross from M. Cuartas of Sagetes was met with a wonderful glancing header from G. Gemănaru, hitting the inside base of the post before nestling into the back of the net for 5 - 2. N. Juste of FCT was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Sagetes solidified their lead at the 83 minute mark, as S. Zurita dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 6 - 2. The players of Sagetes now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Sagetes had most of the ball, with 66 percent of possession.

Sagetes's best player was M. Schwarzschild. On the other hand, G. Gemănaru's play was disheartening. M. Bonnière performed admirably for FCT. J. Hellgren turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 6 - 2.
