Dark skies made the crowd of 2727 at
Villa comunale a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Raine Simonen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Nicolás Emanuel Ruiz and
Carl Reckow.
MARTU started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
Starters: Forest - De Girolamo, Nieto, Solcia - Mozzoni, Berardengo, Tozzi, Lemos, Calvelli - Chiera, Koele.
Gerbertown tactics involved an interesting 5-5-0 combination.

Gerbertown clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could.
Coming in from the right, Gerbertown had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 23 minutes, but
B. Pyringer's attempt to finish was easily stopped.
A. De Girolamo received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 32 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score.
G. Masilka of Gerbertown received a yellow card after 37 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.

passable level of organisation.

44 minutes into the game, Gerbertown seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
inadequate.
Gerbertown's counterattack was impressive and was only stopped by a shocking foul. Somehow, the referee's cards remained in his pocket - a terrible decision!
W. Huchting's resulting free kick was easily saved by the keeper.

MARTU claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 67 percent.
A review of the gameplan helped Gerbertown get back to a
solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Gerbertown's
M. Laggenbeck was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 46 minutes.
C. Dreizker was given a chance to change things around.
After 66 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Gerbertown found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
passable.
With 79 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Gerbertown resulted in a counterattack that set
N. Wartensl free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save.
MARTU put in a good effort on the right, but
J. Nieto saw his volley fly wide of the mark 85 minutes into the game.
Gerbertown caught their opponents out with a clever counterattack down the right wing 86 minutes into the match.
