1119 fans braved the pouring rain at Rakinac Arena. Valerian Potritten was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Gleb Kartashov and Elias Nordbo. Rakinac tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. The following players had been chosen: Corbet - Krabbendam, Várszegi, Dargitz, Cumberworth - Angeletti, Cosio, Mena, Cipra, Katriak - Karındaş.

Beovuk decided to use a 5-5-0 set up. Lineup: Rohmberg - Bandić, Josefsen, Baretić, Weber-Quandt, Janićević - Mattusch, Nedeljković, Jelić, Jorović, Izvoranu -.

It was an obvious ambition of Beovuk to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. Rakinac's K. Katriak was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - A. Karındaş managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 1 - 0 after 15 minutes. Given a free kick in a difficult position after 19 minutes, Rakinac tried a variation that they had practised in training. The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish. O. Mattusch caught everyone off guard with a great opening pass - but unfortunately R. Izvoranu was as surprised by the move as anybody else, and managed to miss the extraordinary opportunity. With 28 minutes played, Rakinac's J. Cipra almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. The muddy pitch made the game a gritty affair, which seemed to suit M. Mena just fine. Rakinac put themselves up 2 - 0 when J. Cipra broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. Rakinac claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

B. Angeletti could have put Rakinac up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 48 minutes. Rakinac's A. Karındaş increased the lead to 3 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 59 minutes. Beovuk had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. 81 minutes in, Beovuk's M. Janićević received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Cheers filled the stadium as B. Angeletti broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 0 to Rakinac. The players of Rakinac now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by M. Baretić. At last, Beovuk's L. Weber-Quandt was able to backheel the ball in. 4 - 1. A. Krabbendam spent most of the time in a heap on the ground today, his normally rapid movement hindered by the slippery pitch. Rakinac's J. Cipra was shown a yellow card after 89 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Rakinac enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

The most dominating Rakinac player was without a doubt L. Corbet. A. Krabbendam turned in a dismal performance, however. Beovuk's best player was M. Jelić. D. Bandić was a disappointment, however. The match ends 4 - 1.
