Stallyns 4 - 1 Jenssen
(393452077)

25-07-2012 13.30
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 986 that came out to
The Duck Pond.
Stanisław Modliszewski was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Mariano Milanesi and
Sakarias Björkander.
Stallyns had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
They fielded: Erinazu - Durand, Vanderstraeten, Nicolet - Van den Broeck, Vanden Daelen, Poortmans, Voltout, Quidouce - Ancion, Hijsselinckx.
Jenssen tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
Lineup: D'haen - Monterde, Gaillard, Abbes - Van Rymenant, Verheyleweghen, Vanderheyden, Knickl, Sackx - Vroninks, Van Zele.
Stallyns saw most attack opportunities on the wings.
Jenssen used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings.
The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 12 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from
J. Durand, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing.
With 15 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience,
A. Verheyleweghen needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed.
Jenssen made sure of not letting
E. Van den Broeck succeed with his speed. When an opportunity appeared for him, as it did 18 minutes into the game, speedy
S. Abbes came to the rescue and stopped the attack.
Stallyns's
G. Ancion increased the lead to 2 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 22 minutes.
Coming from the right,
F. Poortmans almost managed to score another goal for Stallyns, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper.
Jenssen's
D. Vanderheyden got himself booked for a foul.
Jenssen had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks.
The home team's fans were upset when, after 28 minutes, the visiting
J. Van Zele broke through the central defence and kicked the ball past the keeper. 2 - 1 was the score.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Stallyns's
G. Vanderstraeten increasing the lead to 3 - 1.
The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 1.
Stallyns claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 63 percent.
With 50 minutes played, Stallyns put themselves up 4 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
K. Vanden Daelen, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
By now, the players in Stallyns felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
The heat made it a terrible day for
J. Durand, who seemed unable to keep up with the other players.
Stallyns had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.
Most important Stallyns player was
K. Vanden Daelen.
However,
J. Nicolet made a disastrous appearance.
M. Monterde performed admirably for Jenssen.
S. Abbes was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 4 - 1.
