Ancion increased the lead to 2 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 22 minutes. Coming from the right, F. Poortmans almost managed to score another goal for Stallyns, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. Jenssen's D. Vanderheyden got himself booked for a foul. Jenssen had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. The home team's fans were upset when, after 28 minutes, the visiting J. Van Zele broke through the central defence and kicked the ball past the keeper. 2 - 1 was the score. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Stallyns's G.
