(393456543)

24-07-2012 18.30
The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 2674 had shown up at
Fun - Arena for the match.
Sebastian Udrea was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Emílio Veloso and
Thodoros Lempesis.
A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for TS.
They fielded: Rietdorf - Gloger, Fabijančič, Coşeri - Birnbaum-Sums, Nguyen, Toffanello, Grusdat - Bakels, Breitung, Kutschke.
Storm started off with a 3-4-3 lineup.
Starters: Schaadt - Ďurža, Ventura, Ferdal - Theodorou, Anselmo, Venegas, Hischer - Siani, Palmiotto, Lai Chee.
2 minutes into the game, TS wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
M. Grusdat gave
Y. Braumann a quick hug as he left the field.
2 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a TS substitution.
R. Stranimeier-Seifert came on for
A. Fabijančič.
R. Siani of Storm received a yellow card after 6 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
After 11 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Storm found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
passable.
One of many good crosses from
A. Theodorou on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by
G. Lai Chee, who scored for Storm. 0 - 1
T. Bakels showed the skills that make him a real crowd pleaser as he, after 32 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 1 - 1 equaliser away.
33 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but
R. Siani, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide.
With 40 minutes played,
M. Anselmo of Storm fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
41 minutes into the game, Storm seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
inadequate level of organisation.
After 42 minutes, TS sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached
Y. Braumann, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 2 - 1.
TS's
R. Toffanello increased the lead to 3 - 1, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 43 minutes.
3 - 1 was the halftime score.
TS claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.
During the break, Storm's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to
solid organisation.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in TS's
D. Coşeri increasing the lead to 4 - 1.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of TS lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
M. Anselmo of Storm got sent off for kicking the ball after the whistle, a completely uncalled for move, earning him his second yellow card of the game.
TS's
R. Stranimeier-Seifert swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of TS to 5 - 1 as
Q. Nguyen finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 81 minutes, TS did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker,
R. Stranimeier-Seifert was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 6 - 1.
82 minutes into the game, Storm had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
passable.
83 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
R. Kutschke broke through, making the score 7 - 1 for TS.
84 minutes in, Storm appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
weak.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
W. Birnbaum-Sums from TS a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 85 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Q. Nguyen wanted to play on, but the TS coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 88 minutes into the game by
R. Schaffarik.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by TS, with 84 percent of the ball.
TS's best player was
N. Breitung.
However,
R. Stranimeier-Seifert made a disastrous appearance.
Q. Palmiotto performed admirably for Storm.
S. Ferdal turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 7 - 1.
