Clear skies welcomed the 100785 spectators who had made their way to
The Death Star.
Eran Rom was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Enzo De Lellis and
Yiannis Trelokamperis.
Darker had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
The following players took the field: Caussade - Eckenberg, Matt, Żelazna - Machado, Mahlangu, Stav, Cornand, Meller - Wohlmuth, Mwatiwa.
Dampf decided to use a 2-5-3 set up.
They fielded: Villa - Nemecek, Fritsch - Højer Nielsen, Jäger, Forstner, Lisser, Steinwender - Schwichtenberg, Schmid, Herrmann.
Dampf showed off their creative tactics.
A mistake by the home side's central defence after 2 minutes allowed
R. Steinwender to score for Dampf. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1.

B. Machado equalised for Darker after an elegant attack from the right.
The visiting
P. Lisser was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 27 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 1 - 2 was the score.

The Darker coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy.

T. Schwichtenberg who increased Dampf's lead to 2 - 4.
The players of Dampf now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
68 minutes into the match, Darker's
B. Machado demonstrated his famed speed as he raced past his marker and passed the ball to
D. Mwatiwa who chipped it in for 3 - 4.
The coach of Dampf was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 70 minutes,
R. Guastini came on for
P. Lisser.
After 70 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
D. Schmid to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 3 - 5.
D. Fritsch wanted to play on, but the Dampf coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 75 minutes into the game by
G. Treml.
The home crowd was given a certain amount of consolation when
Z. Mahlangu scored after a brilliant midfield combination through the centre, reducing the lead to 4 - 5.
Darker's
H. Eckenberg refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 84 minutes.
Possession in this half belonged to Darker, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.
The most dominating Darker player was without a doubt
D. Mwatiwa.
On the other hand,
H. Eckenberg's play was disheartening.
D. Schmid performed admirably for Dampf.
J. Villa turned in a dismal performance, however.
