Florina 8 - 0 Grajduri
(393485400)

25-07-2012 09.45
A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 2406 to
Frozen Arena.
Federico Iacono was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Peter Storm Jensen and
Hugo Pucher.
A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Florina.
They fielded: Skounas - Dimopoulos, Distomos, Sakalis - Ganotis, Perivolaris, Karpouzopoulos, Fjällquist - Samantakis, Tsiranidis, Korman.
Grajduri had chosen a strategic 4-3-3 formation.
Starters: Ciuce - Cochină, Vlad, Puiu, Gherzan - Staicu, Smaranda, Stanemir - Weiter, Crosetti, America.
It was an obvious ambition of Grajduri to use their ability at attacking on the flanks.
2 minutes into the game, Grajduri seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
inadequate level of organisation.
Florina took the lead 18 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as
B. Fjällquist elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar.
Florina put themselves up 2 - 0 when
M. Tsiranidis broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
Florina increased the lead as
I. Sakalis struck to make the score 3 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper.
After this, you could see that the players of Florina were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
After 38 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Grajduri found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
weak.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Florina's
G. Korman increasing the lead to 4 - 0.
It was 4 - 0 at the break.
Florina claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 78 percent.
A review of the gameplan helped Grajduri get back to a
passable organisation when the referee blew his whistle again.
The sunny day didn't make things easy for
L. Puiu who didn't seem his usual powerful self on the pitch.
A great save by keeper
C. Ciuce after 58 minutes kept the visitors in the game after
G. Korman struck from the left with a real cannonball.
G. Korman increased the lead for Florina to 5 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
Florina's
D. Ganotis increased the lead to 6 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 63 minutes.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
G. Korman squirmed through their central defence after 77 minutes, increasing the lead to 7 - 0.
This third goal completed a hattrick for
G. Korman.
After 79 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
P. Dimopoulos gave the Florina supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 8 - 0.
80 minutes in, Grajduri appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
inadequate.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Florina, with 81 percent of the ball.
Most important Florina player was
M. Tsiranidis.
I. Sakalis was a disappointment, however.
Grajduri's top performer was clearly
H. Weiter.
However,
D. Staicu made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 8 - 0.
