The crowd of 2076 turning up at F.C. Halifax Stadium today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of DWMS Team. Absolwenty mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. With 15 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of DWMS Team resulted in a counterattack that set J. Bacci free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. The rain made it hard for players like B. Huis to show their technical control of the ball on this soggy day. Slack defending gave DWMS Team a chance to take the lead with 19 minutes played, but J. Bacci's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. J. Bacci didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain. DWMS Team were given a gift! The ref dubiously awarded them a penalty 47 minutes into the match, which was neatly put away by B. Huis. 2 - 0 for the home side. DWMS Team's J. Bacci saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 69 minutes. With 76 minutes played, J. Bacci could have brought this one home for DWMS Team as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. After 79 minutes, DWMS Team's B. Huis found the back of the goal with a beautiful free kick. 3 - 0. M. Zilberstein of DWMS Team was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
