Dark skies made the crowd of 436 at Kockoborgsborg a little nervous, but the rain held off. Uli Rauchhaupt was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Terry Brandsteder and Evgeny Chelpanov. Kockoborgs started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. Lineup: Palasciano - Jansson, Safont, Zbylut - Hermansson, Alexandersson, Fyhrholt, Porsch - Ibn-Akil, Arendt, Owls.

A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Arons. Starters: Fjeltorp - Redondo Sierra, Hystedt, Jonsson - Gangflod, Rönnerberg, Duvborg, Amorfini - Comparelli, Lokvenc, Gumpert.

The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave M. Rönnerberg from Arons a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 9 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to Q. Ibn-Akil, but the Kockoborgs player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! 23 minutes into the match the visitors levelled the score at 1 - 1 as G. Gumpert struck home from a rebound off the crossbar, following a shot from the right. After 24 minutes, Arons put themselves up 1 - 2, as Š. Lokvenc finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. After 28 minutes, Arons's C. Comparelli burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 1 - 3. 1 - 3 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Arons, who controlled the ball 61 percent of the time.

The home crowd was not impressed when M. Jonsson came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 53 minutes. Arons were now up 1 - 4. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Arons lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The referee showed Kockoborgs's V. Hermansson the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Kockoborgs's J. Fyhrholt cut towards the middle after 69 minutes, receiving a brilliant pass and slicing through the visiting team's central defence, reducing the lead to 2 - 4. The coach of Arons was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 70 minutes, A. Kullentorp came on for Š. Lokvenc. Kockoborgs had a brilliant opportunity to reply as S. Safont received a high ball from the right, striking the ball in the air. Only M. Fjeltorp's reflexes saved him. Arons enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

Kockoborgs's best player was E. Jansson. J. Porsch turned in a dismal performance, however. Arons's top performer was clearly M. Rönnerberg. However, M. Jonsson made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 4.
