2645 spectators had come to Sighisoara Stadium this cloudy day. Arvaidas Jasavičius was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Martin Horvath and Tommaso Pomatta. CsMS started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Starters: Martel - Muhsin, Thierfelder, Rarinca - Hansson, Gazdag, De Kock, Cesano, Lauritsen - Delamuraz, Kamerman.

Azul tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players took the field: Salgado Santos - Senseig, Skjødt, Smith - Peña, Ribilla, Frank, Ayaz, Zarra - Goia, Homs.

CsMS clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. A. Ribilla of Azul was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. 20 minutes into the game, P. Peña had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came C. Suwanchana. The referee showed CsMS's D. Gazdag the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. S. Salgado Santos of Azul had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. M. Stojšić came in to finish the match. 30 minutes in, the referee awarded CsMS a penalty. A. Thierfelder coolly slotted it home for a 1 - 0 lead. O. Rarinca neatly controlled the ball after a short corner, and knocked it on to T. Muhsin who had the whole net open before him, but only managed to hit the post. E. Torta was called on to replace Azul's C. Suwanchana after 43 minutes following a nasty collision. 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Azul claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

Good work by the CsMS defensive line after 50 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found J. Delamuraz alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. Coming through the middle R. Senseig almost scored the equaliser for Azul after 56 minutes, but A. Martel made an excellent save, tipping the awkwardly curled shot past the post. J. Delamuraz was first to reach a ball launched long through the center from CsMS's defence 57 minutes into the game. He managed to keep his cool and beat the goalkeeper to make the score 2 - 0. Unhappy with the result so far in the game, the Azul manager used a brief break in play after 58 minutes to give the players new directives. After 60 minutes, the defensive line of CsMS created a counterattack through the middle that gave D. Gazdag a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. The score became 3 - 0 at 61 minutes into the game, when CsMS were given a penalty which A. Thierfelder blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance! Possession in this half belonged to Azul, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

The most dominating CsMS player was without a doubt J. Delamuraz. A. Martel turned in a dismal performance, however. R. Frank performed admirably for Azul. F. Ayaz was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 0.
