A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 418 to KariniuS Arena. Teo Susanu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Gian Luigi Batini and Domagoj Šimurina. AntofagastU decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. They fielded: Kuivaniemi - Zammit, Pregršt, Triki, Lazarov - Guidotti, Flori, Escala, Özke - Formentin, Bruhn.

AntofagastU were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. Leondis clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. After 2 minutes, Leondis's L. Hovi swiftly ran past R. Triki and nutmegged the keeper! 0 - 1. A drive down the left side allowed S. Bonde to get in close and score another goal for Leondis after 4 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 2. Confident in their lead, Leondis's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Leondis had to manage with a reduced squad after 25 minutes, as S. Bonde got sent off for a needless foul away from the game's action. A. Formentin was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so AntofagastU's J. Essefi had to come off the bench. Leondis players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. After 28 minutes, Leondis's I. Dinu burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 3. AntofagastU's G. Flori got himself booked for a foul. I. Dinu of Leondis took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 41 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 4. It was 0 - 4 at the break. Leondis had most of the ball, with 88 percent of possession.

With 51 minutes played, L. Hovi nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. 58 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 5 as E. Jongepier finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. The visitors' G. Torrekens took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 59 minutes into the match. 0 - 6 for Leondis. J. Kotkaniemi left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 60 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. M. Dilek was the replacement. The Leondis captaincy was handed to G. Torrekens. The Leondis players could smell victory in the air. L. Hovi wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for J. van Zundert after 60 minutes. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Leondis's M. Theocharis somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for J. van Zundert, who struck for 0 - 7. 66 minutes into the match, M. Theocharis came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. Leondis enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 89 percent of possession.

AntofagastU's best player was E. Zammit. G. Flori turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Leondis player was without a doubt M. Dilek. B. de Haard was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 7.
