(393565905)

24-07-2012 19.05
Clouds darkened the skies at
Mirò Arena as 864 spectators turned up for the match.
Maciej Gajo was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ronald Bertram and
Andrea Del Bottegone.
A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Mirò.
Starters: Stramare - Uburti, Huber - Paço, Veld, Pellizzari, Örnek, Sauer - Coelho Neto, Dimanche, Rossetti.
Genoamanin started off with a 3-4-3 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Oldenziel - Doñamaría, Saggese, Sopa - Gervasi, Appia, Sdogati, Carlot - Bregolin, Laschi, Robles.
Ş. Örnek caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 7 minutes. This gave Mirò the 1 - 0 lead.
Mirò's
M. Veld had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 26 minutes having been played.
L. Musoni was the replacement.
Mirò managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when
M. Coelho Neto cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
The visitors' right side was dangerous today;
M. Sdogati made the home team's keeper look foolish as he easily reduced the lead to make it 2 - 1 33 minutes into the match.
After 34 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
M. Dimanche gave the Mirò supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 1.
The players of Mirò now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
M. Coelho Neto wanted to play on, but the Mirò coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 36 minutes into the game by
R. Ketonen.
3 - 1 was the halftime score.
Mirò enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
R. Ketonen squirmed through their central defence after 48 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 1.
Coming from the right,
S. Pellizzari almost managed to score another goal for Mirò, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Genoamanin's
D. Bregolin was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 55 minutes.
G. Mascolo was given a chance to change things around.
With 55 minutes played, Mirò put themselves up 5 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
M. Huber, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
K. Sauer had a fantastic opportunity to put Mirò up another goal 59 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
Mirò's
M. Huber was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 64 minutes.
Mirò claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 62 percent.
The most dominating Mirò player was without a doubt
R. Ketonen.
C. Stramare was a disappointment, however.
Most important Genoamanin player was
S. Laschi.
On the other hand,
J. Carlot's play was disheartening.
The match ends 5 - 1.
