3198 spectators arrived at ROYAL PINGVINS ARENA, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Giorgio Alberzoni was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Przemysław Tomalik and Guido Galfrè. PINGVINS decided to use a 3-4-3 set up. Mamabollos had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. They fielded: Pérez - Vermaesen, Ritoranta, Eerdekens, Tsukamoto - Mazo Monzón, Amil, Siota, Guixart, Szilárd - Lazaga.

Mamabollos displayed their ability to play creatively. G. Pérez had to be alert to tip K. Hartvigsen's fantastic penalty kick over the bar, denying PINGVINS a chance at the lead. Mamabollos showed their counterattack skill 17 minutes into the match by breaking through the middle, with V. Guixart scoring uncontested for 0 - 1. PINGVINS made it 1 - 1 as I. Ulmanis got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to P. Paredes who whipped a low drive in off the far post. PINGVINS broke through on the left 19 minutes into the game, with J. Lēvalds firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 2 - 1 lead. The crowd was amused as A. Amil of Mamabollos used a few interesting tricks and dribbles to get into the penalty box. The finish by G. Mazo Monzón wasn't very amusing, however, as the ball flew way over the crossbar. PINGVINS's K. Hartvigsen swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. After 30 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and F. Tobolov gave the PINGVINS supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 1. V. Guixart of Mamabollos received a yellow card after 32 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 36 minutes, PINGVINS's K. Hartvigsen found the back of the goal with a beautiful free kick. 4 - 1. PINGVINS's A. Baklāns got himself booked for a foul. Mamabollos had to make a substitution after 39 minutes. V. Guixart limped off the field and was replaced by M. Asón. Halftime score was 4 - 1. PINGVINS had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.

A. Baklāns wanted to play on, but the PINGVINS coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 46 minutes into the game by F. Dobis. Cheers filled the stadium as P. Paredes broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 1 to PINGVINS. The players of PINGVINS now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. The referee showed PINGVINS's J. Lēvalds the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The coach of PINGVINS was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 60 minutes, M. Susoev came on for J. Lēvalds. A. Ericsson knocked one home from a counterattack down the right wing, making the score 6 - 1 after 72 minutes. A. Ericsson could have put PINGVINS up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 73 minutes. K. Hartvigsen increased PINGVINS's lead to 7 - 1 with a penalty spot cannonball. The PINGVINS players could smell victory in the air. V. Loigny wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for H. Luomanen after 80 minutes. PINGVINS enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

PINGVINS's best player was A. Ericsson. However, H. Luomanen made a disastrous appearance. Most important Mamabollos player was M. Asón. M. Siota was a disappointment, however. The match ends 7 - 1.
