It was an obvious ambition of Fofoe to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. 17 minutes in, the referee awarded Fofoe a penalty. P. Cerdeño coolly slotted it home for a 1 - 0 lead. Kickers levelled the score after 24 minutes to make it 1 - 1, as E. Houtkamp struck home after a fine midfield combination through the centre, which left him completely unmarked. Kickers's B. Boelens was shown a yellow card after 34 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 37 minutes into the match and the home team took a 2 - 1 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Fofoe was G. Buizza. G. Buizza increased the lead for Fofoe to 3 - 1, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! After 39 minutes, S. Teixeira put Fofoe ahead 4 - 1 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Confident in their lead, Fofoe's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. With 44 minutes played, the Kickers coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. G. Grabowiec came on, R. Andrici had to leave the fray. Halftime score was 4 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Fofoe, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

Things were deteriorating for the away team as Fofoe scored another to make it 5 - 1 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for S. Teixeira after 54 minutes. C. Pires found it hard to catch his breath today in the stifling heat. I. Torres Ferreira wanted to play on, but the Fofoe coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 71 minutes into the game by L. Loureiro Ferreira. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Fofoe to 6 - 1 as G. Buizza finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Cerdeño's curling free kick almost found the goal for Fofoe, but the visitors' keeper somehow managed to get ahold of it. Fofoe had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

Most important Fofoe player was L. Loureiro Ferreira. On the other hand, B. Gualdino's play was disheartening. B. Boelens performed admirably for Kickers. V. Fruet was a disappointment, however. The match ends 7 - 2.
