(393579444)

25-07-2012 18.10
Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 1119 at
Preed Danzig Arena today.
Ernesto Daniel Quindós was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Angelbert van Oorschot and
Marco Saldaña.
A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Lechijka.
They fielded: Szlęk - Żemojtel, Drapaczny, Davidsson - Kryger, Kocój, Oszywa, Kornatka - Królasik, Tolak, Skobel.
Staszki started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Grecco - Bystrowski, Danielczyk, Cedzyński - Martí, Pitera, Kęski, Küçükbilezikçi, Pacanowski - Frydrysiak, Kozionov.
Lechijka saw most attack opportunities on the wings.
Staszki were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks.
Staszki's
C. Cedzyński could have put the guests one up after 3 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but
P. Szlęk was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose.
The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Staszki's
C. Cedzyński after 26 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead.
Content with how the game was proceeding, the Staszki coach let
T. Szadurski replace
F. Danielczyk after 27 minutes.
After a short break after 27 minutes, Staszki seemed to change their tactical approach a bit.
Lechijka's
T. Kocój got himself booked for a foul.
A drive down the left side allowed
M. Pitera to get in close and score another goal for Staszki after 28 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 2.
Confident in their lead, Staszki's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
The home crowd cheered when, after 40 minutes,
T. Szadurski's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day.
Halftime score was 0 - 2.
Staszki enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 78 percent of possession.
The coach of Staszki was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 46 minutes,
A. Grzmot came on for
D. Martí.
Had it not been for one of the home defenders,
W. Frydrysiak would have put Staszki up another goal 47 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing.
With 73 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
T. Küçükbilezikçi of Staszki to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 3.
With 85 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience,
T. Kocój needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed.
B. Kęski could have put his team up another goal 87 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post.
Players in Staszki heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead.
Possession in this half belonged to Staszki, who controlled the ball 78 percent of the time.
B. Davidsson performed admirably for Lechijka.
J. Drapaczny turned in a dismal performance, however.
Staszki's best player was
T. Szadurski.
On the other hand,
M. Pitera's play was disheartening.
The match ends 0 - 3.
