(393590724)

31-07-2012 19.00
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 43000 that came out to
Estádio da Inês.
Igor 'The Machine' Stojković was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Albino Cancela and
Dušan Zličić.
AlverCorrs tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
They fielded: Deac - Varotto, Bonnefond, Aldana Amaya - Canepa, Piroddi, Konov, Celadin, Pasulko - Andrioli, Boschiroli.
Cecentus started off with a 2-5-3 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Titini - Ghiberti, Gugini - Ahuir, Puntus, Armentano, Aresti, Chella - Pohlmann, Yezikyan, Oppenheim.
After 10 minutes AlverCorrs's
M. Piroddi limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue.
AlverCorrs took the lead 17 minutes in, as
M. Piroddi broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper.
R. Oppenheim's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence.
Cecentus were close to putting the equaliser away after 35 minutes as the opposing defence lost control of the ball to
R. Oppenheim in a scuffle towards the left of the goal, but in the end the ball was cleared over the dead ball line.
With 35 minutes played, the visitors could have drawn level after
R. Oppenheim came through the middle, but his kick went wide.
1 - 0 was the halftime score.
Possession in this half belonged to Cecentus, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.
With 69 minutes played, the Cecentus coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
C. Oud came on,
C. Armentano had to leave the fray.
C. Andrioli wanted to play on, but the AlverCorrs coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 75 minutes into the game by
D. Pariatanta.
AlverCorrs managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when
F. Celadin cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
After 80 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
B. Pasulko might have resulted in another goal for AlverCorrs. However,
A. Titini made a spectacular save.
A great save by keeper
A. Titini after 81 minutes kept the visitors in the game after
D. Pariatanta struck from the left with a real cannonball.
The visitors' right side was dangerous today;
R. Oppenheim made the home team's keeper look foolish as he easily reduced the lead to make it 2 - 1 83 minutes into the match.
A. Canepa left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 89 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
G. Ferranti was the replacement.
G. Ferranti was handed the AlverCorrs captain's armband.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Cecentus, with 51 percent of the ball.
Most important AlverCorrs player was
P. Konov.
However,
G. Ferranti made a disastrous appearance.
Cecentus's top performer was clearly
H. Yezikyan.
F. Chella was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 2 - 1.
