previous 10/10 next 2/10  all-star 3 - 4 Hillers (393591281)

59300 spectators had come to Heikki Rautiainen - Arena this cloudy day. Flavio Reiter was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Gillian Decoster and Nic Timmermans. all-star tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. They fielded: Tanila - Merivaara, Talasniemi, Kalkas, Bruun - Heltimoinen, Kannisto, Tuomaila, Myllylahti - Legotin, Suoperä.

Hillers started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Ahvenlampi - Koppány, Winterer, Bujanda - Sláčik, Männistö, Röntynen, Lahtivirta, Koikkalainen - Selmani, Păsărică.

Today, all-star's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. The wings were the focus of most of Hillers's attacks today. 6 minutes into the game, P. Selmani had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. Hillers's H. Männistö was shown a yellow card after 9 minutes for slicing down an opponent. E. Bruun really should have scored when he was chosen by fate to confront a wide open goal following a great play by P. Kannisto after a corner. Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 25 minutes into the match, and M. Păsărică wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors. With 27 minutes having been played, all-star scored to make it 1 - 1. A dribble down the left wing, followed by a shot which took a wicked bounce off a defender resulted in the keeper having no chance. Everyone thought it'd been an own goal, but E. Heltimoinen was marked down as the scorer. all-star fans held their breath as P. Kannisto scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 2 - 1! It was 2 - 1 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Hillers, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

The all-star free kick 65 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of P. Myllylahti, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 3 - 1! Hillers's M. Păsărică was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 69 minutes. With 70 minutes played, the Hillers coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. G. Wierichs came on, O. Winterer had to leave the fray. The visitors got one back when H. Männistö finished off a pass from the left and scored after 72 minutes. 3 - 2 was the score. The Hillers coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy. The visitors didn't give in and, after 81 minutes, P. Koikkalainen got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 3 - 3. After 82 minutes, the all-star coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving J. Kalkas off the field. A. Hiltula took his place. 82 minutes into the match, the all-star manager wanted to try a new tactic, and the players loyally obliged. The all-star coach adjusted their lineup with 82 minutes gone. J. Tuomaila and V. Talasniemi assumed each other's positions. 82 minutes into the game, all-star wanted to bring some new energy to their game. V. Talasniemi gave P. Hirstiö a quick hug as he left the field. The coach of all-star wanted to try to change things around after 82 minutes, and gave new tactical instructions. With the scoreboard clock showing 84 minutes, the inexperienced Hillers team fell into disarray. This part of the game was a standoff between the teams in terms of possession.

As neither team was able to break the deadlock before the end of regular play, the teams took to the field again for extra time. The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Hillers had solid organisation. Hillers took the lead after 100 minutes making the score 3 - 4. P. Selmani placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. What a dramatic win for Hillers! all-star's best player was F. Legotin. I. Merivaara was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Hillers player was without a doubt P. Selmani. P. Koppány on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 4.
