Slim created a good opportunity to score 2 minutes into the match when J. Monigote's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. The game was characterised by rough play and many physical challenges on the wet field, but A. Drăghici showed great heart and had a good game. E. Mesker slipped and slithered in the wet grass. Nordpolen enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.

Nordpolen's A. Jalajamani had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 55 minutes having been played. H. Westerman was the replacement. 67 minutes into the game, S. Damizadeh had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came C. Morks. Some fine passing in the middle of the pitch, carving open the away defence, should have led to a goal for Slim, but S. Hillerts's shot went over the bar. Slim's H. Fernández was shown a yellow card after 80 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Nordpolen claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

Slim's top performer was clearly S. Hillerts. N. Šimpraga was a disappointment, however. Most important Nordpolen player was J. Dumas. However, H. Westerman made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 1.
