Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 66000 at
PORCÃO today.
Knud Akselsen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Gaute Røhne and
Paolo Ferlenga.
The derby had been the talk of
São Paulo all week and fans of both teams could be seen throughout the stadium.

After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
K. Hagen got himself booked. The manager of S.E. was not happy.
Almost all the way down to the corner flag, S.E.'s
W. Giarrizzo somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for
P. Andersen, who struck for 1 - 1.
A. Goschler-Praxmarer looked great 25 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors'
F. Aceña.
After a fine move down the middle
J. Pelayo nearly gave the home side a goal after 26 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide.
Some great play up the middle by S.E. led to a chance for
P. Andersen to score after 33 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar.

L. Cosma was shown a yellow card after 35 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
F. Bukuš of S.E. had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game.

The guests almost went up by a goal after 64 minutes when
N. Erstrand came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though.
Tricolor had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.
With the scores being level after 90 minutes, the match went into extra time.
Tricolor made it 1 - 2 as
N. Erstrand got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to
C. Miller who whipped a low drive in off the far post.
This put an end to extra time, making Tricolor the winners.
