Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 1299 at las tigresas Arena today. Rune Tillbom was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Fredy Rohrer and Jorge Sánchez-Cámara. tigresas decided to use a 3-4-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Groza - Casalón, Garlito, Doñate - Iragorria, Vidal, Zaldibia, Jordà - Piferrer, Barecki.

pimentin had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. Lineup: De Vito - Boşman, Dorenga, Bronkhorst, Schweizer - Lante, Alòs, Vieira Faria, Aguilar, Horaicoechea - Argiriadis.

C. Boşman would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. G. Bruckner entered the game for pimentin as the match clock showed 1 minutes. 5 minutes into the game, pimentin wanted to bring some new energy to their game. R. Aguilar gave A. Sarratea a quick hug as he left the field. After 9 minutes, pimentin's Á. Vieira Faria made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. The coach of pimentin was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 15 minutes, A. Deidda came on for Z. Argiriadis. 18 minutes into the game, tigresas had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable. With 27 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed S. Horaicoechea of pimentin to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 2. After 37 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as tigresas found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to poor. In an effort to secure the lead, pimentin changed their tactic after 40 minutes. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 41 minutes, pimentin did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, Á. Vieira Faria was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 0 - 3. 44 minutes in, pimentin appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only passable. Halftime score was 0 - 3. Possession in this half belonged to pimentin, who controlled the ball 71 percent of the time.

A review of the gameplan helped tigresas get back to a passable organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. The pimentin players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid organisation when the game started again. The visitors' A. Sarratea took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 49 minutes into the match. 0 - 4 for pimentin. 53 minutes into the game, tigresas seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a weak level of organisation. A superb free kick by tigresas's S. Zaldibia after 71 minutes looked like it'd reduced the lead after it hit the underside of the bar and bounced down over the line, but to the fury of the home crowd the linesman missed it - no goal! pimentin's counterattacks were lethal to the opposing defence, allowing A. Deidda to score easily from the right flank for 0 - 7. After 73 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave A. Sarratea a chance to increase the lead for pimentin, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 8. 74 minutes into the game, pimentin seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate. Some fine movement on the left led to a pimentin goal after 86 minutes, making it 0 - 9. A. Sarratea was noted down as the scorer. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for A. Sarratea. 87 minutes into the game, tigresas seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a poor level of organisation. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by pimentin, with 67 percent of the ball.

Most important tigresas player was A. Barecki. However, N. Groza made a disastrous appearance. pimentin's best player was P. Dorenga. G. De Vito turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 9.
