xolos focused on getting players in position for long range shots. Elegidos used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Elegidos had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 2 minutes in when J. Espejel came up alone against A. Ahedo who managed a block. xolos's T. Gómez de la Torre was shown a yellow card after 3 minutes for slicing down an opponent. H. Fürthaler's lack of experience almost gave xolos a goal after 6 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. 7 minutes into the game, Elegidos seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to passable. 17 minutes into the game, L. Skjødt almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Unfortunately for xolos, C. Bueno suffered a concussion after 24 minutes and had to be taken for tests. The coach had his head in his hands after realising he could not send a replacement onto the pitch, and the team had to continue a man short. 0 - 0 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Elegidos, with 54 percent of the ball.

Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Elegidos was able to get his message across, and raised Elegidos's organisation to solid. Making his way up the middle 49 minutes into the match, I. Gutiérrez de Foz almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert A. De la Huerta blocked it to keep the score level. As the 70 minute mark approached, the Elegidos coach decided it was time for a substitution. L. Toromanov reluctantly made way for A. Urruticoechea on the pitch. After 70 minutes, the Elegidos coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving J. Espejel off the field. B. Anão took his place. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, A. Florêncio took over the role of being the Elegidos captain. After 72 minutes, Elegidos sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached G. Stendal, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 0 - 1. L. Skjødt wanted to play on, but the Elegidos coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 75 minutes into the game by U. Sidy. Due to some great work on the right wing xolos's T. Gómez de la Torre was able to even the score after 76 minutes to make the score 1 - 1. T. Gómez de la Torre looked to be heading one way when he unexpectedly passed the ball to F. Galván. The move caught everyone off-guard, including his teammate, who panicked and kicked the ball out of play by accident. Down the middle came B. Anão, making a fantastic play that nearly had Elegidos take the lead after 81 minutes, but A. Ahedo preserved the tie. 86 minutes into the game, Elegidos seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a inadequate level of organisation. Elegidos claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

xolos's best player was D. Paeckel. G. Satta on the other hand, had a terrible day. Elegidos's top performer was clearly A. Florêncio. However, A. Feo made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 1.
