It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 850 that came out to
The Graveyard.
Gílson Luz was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Walter Glaser and
Claudio Castellini.
ATA tactics involved an interesting 5-2-3 combination.
Lineup: Rossi - Nydahl, Timmer, Flo, Boll, Musiałkiewicz - Andreevski, Rivas Palas - Falcão, Todorov, Kempes.
A 5-3-2 alignment was the formation of choice for BoBoTai.
They fielded: Puigjané - Bernardo, Falklind, Filicori, Nemţeanu, Megyesi - Stapelbroek, Oudhoff, Reissenberger - van der Wulp, Cransveld.
Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of ATA.
R. van der Wulp gave the visitors the lead 14 minutes into the match to make it 0 - 1. The goal was scored from the penalty spot after a handball in the penalty area.
26 minutes into the game, ATA seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
passable.
After 30 minutes,
R. van der Wulp sent the corner kick right to
S. Reissenberger who headed it sharply past the keeper. 0 - 2!
BoBoTai's
R. Falklind got himself booked for a foul.
Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 35 minutes, BoBoTai did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker,
A. Bernardo was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 0 - 3.
After 37 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as ATA found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
passable.
With 40 minutes played,
A. Oudhoff nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar.
After 41 minutes, BoBoTai's
G. Filicori burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 4.
42 minutes into the game, ATA had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
inadequate.
The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 4.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by BoBoTai, with 72 percent of the ball.
The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that ATA had
solid organisation.
R. van der Wulp of BoBoTai took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 59 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 5.
Confident in their lead, BoBoTai's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
74 minutes in, ATA appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
passable.
After 77 minutes ATA's
A. Falcão limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue.
After 81 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
G. Filicori who increased BoBoTai's lead to 0 - 6.
The referee showed BoBoTai's
A. Bernardo the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
BoBoTai had most of the ball, with 74 percent of possession.
The most dominating ATA player was without a doubt
A. Falcão.
On the other hand,
T. Nydahl's play was disheartening.
Most important BoBoTai player was
R. Falklind.
A. Puigjané on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 0 - 6.
