1843 fans braved the pouring rain at
The Pride Park Arena.
Tony McInerney was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Sandro Tarantola and
Ernesto Negri.
A 4-3-3 alignment was the formation of choice for warriors.
The following players took the field: Kubisztal - Blantyre, Timokhin, Wüest, Clark - Rašidović, Chugg, Beard - Kalous, Golding, Gîndea.
Gillamtasary started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
Starters: Dale - Zwiers, Whelan, Arthur - Walter, Lewis, Jensen, Jordan, Bogdán - Vantaggiato, Camilli.
warriors clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle.
Thighs bulging,
O. Beard charged past the weaker players, seemingly oblivious to the rain.
One of many good crosses from
G. Bogdán on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by
F. Camilli, who scored for Gillamtasary. 0 - 1

passable.

solid.
The goal for 1 - 4 was a funny story: after 55 minutes the seemingly nonchalant lob from warriors's
A. Kalous landed at the feet of
L. Golding who sidefooted it into the net - nice goal!
F. Camilli was struggling to make the ball dance with his usual trickery and panache, and the opposing players had little trouble shutting him down in these muddy conditions.
After 70 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by Gillamtasary was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options.
