Dark skies made the crowd of 2507 at La Pachar Stadium a little nervous, but the rain held off. Carlos Roberto Santos Reis was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Fernando Batalha and Jesús Sarmiento. Pachar tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Pachar used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. A well placed corner kick from R. Appeldwatsch was followed by R. Kovačević's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for *OFC*, the score now 0 - 1. J. Murillo's lack of experience almost gave *OFC* a goal after 10 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. *OFC* increased the lead to 0 - 2 as R. Appeldwatsch scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner. 38 minutes into the game a free kick by R. Appeldwatsch found its way through the home side's poorly assembled defensive formation, making *OFC*'s lead 0 - 3. Confident in their lead, *OFC*'s players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. 0 - 3 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by *OFC*, with 58 percent of the ball.

The visitors added to their lead 68 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by *OFC*'s R. Appeldwatsch slid just past the home keeper. 0 - 4. By then R. Appeldwatsch had scored three goals - a hat trick! After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, H. Bolle got himself booked. The manager of *OFC* was not happy. 72 minutes into the match, O. Dorobanţu came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave A. Saavedra from Pachar a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 83 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! *OFC* enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

The most dominating Pachar player was without a doubt P. Otterstad. A. Saavedra on the other hand, had a terrible day. R. Kovačević performed admirably for *OFC*. On the other hand, D. Rösele's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 4.
