Stanziale 2 - 1 Campobasso (393629789)

Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 2683 at Franco Mancini today. Nicklas Bøndergaard was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Georgian Mitroi and Xacobe Reina. Campobasso decided to play creatively. After 26 minutes Stanziale's H. Miller had to be carried off on a stretcher in agony. S. Pepino came in to replace him. They were singing the praises of F. Toft 28 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Stanziale. Stanziale's M. Albanesi increased the lead to 2 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 39 minutes. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Stanziale lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. A. Lynch of Stanziale received a yellow card after 42 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. It was 2 - 0 at the break. Stanziale claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

C. Alcantara wanted to play on, but the Stanziale coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 46 minutes into the game by E. Skinner. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, J. Vandaele took over the role of being the Stanziale captain. Campobasso's N. Gavridis got himself booked for a foul. Campobasso's C. Peruzzi had a good first touch on the flank, but was crowded and, after a change of plan, sent the ball to P. Vallhonrat who somehow managed to curl the ball wide. The bench was restless, and with 70 minutes passed Campobasso's coach gave M. Hudobyak the opportunity the player had been hoping for. P. Vallhonrat reluctantly left the field. With 70 minutes played, the Campobasso coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. E. Castellarnau came on, E. Caputo had to leave the fray. E. Blasi's lack of experience almost gave Stanziale a goal after 73 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. W. Oskroba should probably have put his team up another goal after 74 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by E. Castellarnau kept the visitors in the game. The visitors replied 80 minutes into the game, reducing the home side's lead to 2 - 1, as V. Sydihin dashed up the middle, easily lobbing the ball over the home team's keeper. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, M. Albanesi got himself booked. The manager of Stanziale was not happy. Stanziale had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

The most dominating Stanziale player was without a doubt M. Albanesi. A. Lynch on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Campobasso player was H. Danot. However, A. Kondrashenkov made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 1.
