previous 1/10 next 3/10  Hustlers 2 - 3 Subber (393630344)

Clear skies welcomed the 1630 spectators who had made their way to The vineyard. Claudio Fusco was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Tristan Niemeyer and Ludger Hammerschmidt. Hustlers tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. Lineup: Behrendt - Donnet, van der Kroef, Bertelsen, Musialski - Thuesen Dahl, Steffan, Stoltenberg, Tong Tong, Urbonavičius - Inoso.

A 5-5-0 alignment was the formation of choice for Subber. They fielded: Baagø - Ielmini, Akcan, Knihtilä, Manavella, Jegindø - Borgholm, Eryalçın, Roland, Rodrigues, Volder -.

Subber used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Subber's K. Borgholm has the wonderful ability to create chances out of thin air. 4 minutes into the match he bamboozled a couple of opposition defenders before sending the keeper the wrong way and sidefooting the ball home into an empty net. That totally unexpected burst of flair made it 0 - 1. 23 minutes into the game, Hustlers seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a passable level of organisation. I. Inoso of Hustlers was able to make an impressive rush past the sluggish J. Knihtilä, which resulted in a goal making the score 1 - 1. Subber took the lead after 34 minutes making the score 1 - 2. B. Rodrigues placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. 1 - 2 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Subber, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.

The Hustlers players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid organisation when the game started again. Given a free kick close to the byline, Subber tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let C. Ielmini slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 1 - 3, 50 minutes into the game. Hustlers's fans were urging them forward as they tried to get back into the game, and their vocal support was rewarded 58 minutes into the match as N. Thuesen Dahl ran onto a beautiful ball played through the visitors' defence and slotted it past the keeper to reduce the deficit. 2 - 3. It was obvious that team Subber had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. Subber had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

Hustlers's best player was L. Urbonavičius. C. Behrendt on the other hand, had a terrible day. K. Borgholm performed admirably for Subber. J. Knihtilä was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 3.
