previous 10/10 next 2/10  Mizu 1 - 1 D's Army (393633001)

3427 spectators arrived at FK Mizu Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Jaime Masnou was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Gabriel Sintra and Fredrik Tillskär. Mizu decided to use a 5-4-1 set up. Lineup: Roccatagliata - Danko, Laval, Saint-Germain, Yahya, van Koningsbrugge - Vinţe, Sannicolò, Fischerbude, Zadrożny - Toyo.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for D's Army. They fielded: Mailly - Koroheke, Dyadin, Dimanche - Sina, Kryger, Kristiansen, Gambino, Zanchi - Sedláček, Rontaker.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Mizu. 27 minutes into the game, R. Zanchi had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. J. van Koningsbrugge caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 30 minutes. This gave Mizu the 1 - 0 lead. After 32 minutes Mizu tried to exploit their counterattacking skills, unfortunately, E. Zadrożny's shot sailed wide after his break down the right. The home team will be cursing T. Koroheke for weeks; he finished off a great pass from the left, knocking it past the keeper without a problem. The match was level at 1 - 1 after 33 minutes. With 34 minutes played C. Toyo almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. K. Sedláček had a good opportunity to give D's Army the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. D's Army had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.

The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when P. Kristiansen was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 67 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead! The referee showed Mizu's C. Toyo the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. A counterattack by Mizu after 76 minutes could have resulted in a goal, but I. Sannicolò, coming in on the left, couldn't get the shot off. D's Army enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.

The most dominating Mizu player was without a doubt J. van Koningsbrugge. However, G. Roccatagliata made a disastrous appearance. D's Army's best player was K. Sedláček. P. Gambino on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 1.
