02-08-2012 00.00
The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 3489 had shown up at
Estábulo Olímpico for the match.
Livio Celani was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Lefteris Konstantakis and
Alexander Svensson.
Fazendinha tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
They fielded: dos Reis - Belinelli, Maccabruni, Foltz - Reyes York, Aderaldo, Cocaia, Bromond, Arendtsen - Barros, Wernli.
Orchamps had chosen a strategic 5-4-1 formation.
Starters: Blum - Granlund, Boucaut, Jarina, Planellas, Evcan - Maillard, Casal, Féret, Taffin - Liebert.
Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Orchamps.
Having just won a lot of ground following a quick turn of play, Orchamps were given a free kick at a sharp angle. Rather than going for the direct shot, the defence was bypassed by a few sideways passes, giving
P. Casal the chance to slip through at goal. Nice teamwork! And 0 - 1, 23 minutes into the game.
28 minutes in, Orchamps appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
solid.
Due to some great work on the right wing Fazendinha's
J. Barros was able to even the score after 33 minutes to make the score 1 - 1.
At 34 minutes played,
M. Wernli came in from the right with the intention of giving Fazendinha the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar.
35 minutes into the game, a swerving free kick by
I. Foltz almost resulted in the home team taking the lead, but the shot glanced harmlessly off the frame of the goal.
F. Planellas was in the clear after breaking the offside trap following a Orchamps counterattack from the left after 36 minutes. His neat finish made the score 1 - 2.
Fazendinha's
E. Bromond put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 38 minutes, but the ball went wide.
1 - 2 was the halftime score.
Fazendinha had most of the ball, with 73 percent of possession.
A review of the gameplan helped Orchamps get back to a
solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again.
Fazendinha needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 46 minutes
I. Foltz made way for
L. Martinez.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
E. Bromond got himself booked. The manager of Fazendinha was not happy.
J. Cocaia of Fazendinha was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
With a shot curled in from just outside the middle of the penalty area after 61 minutes played,
E. Bromond of Fazendinha made the score 2 - 2.
65 minutes into the game, Fazendinha wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
F. Aderaldo gave
B. Garrido a quick hug as he left the field.
R. Boucaut behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 69 minutes as he gave the ball away to
M. Wernli. Lucky for him though, there was no goal.
After 70 minutes, the Fazendinha coach made a sign to
S. Belinelli, who soon changed positions with
R. Arendtsen.
83 minutes into the game, Orchamps seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
passable.
Fazendinha claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 77 percent.
B. Garrido performed admirably for Fazendinha.
R. Arendtsen on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The most dominating Orchamps player was without a doubt
M. Jarina.
D. Blum was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 2 - 2.
