2193 spectators arrived at RAÏ Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Wilhelm Himmel was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Nils Ramer and Ko te Braak. A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for BSL. Starters: Fournier - Quelen, Caire, Yanakiev, Repetto - Golovkov, Sánchez, Shipley, Biró, Aguilera Vaqués - Izard.

"Bovisa started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: Edmo - Sabbatini, Fudayl, Fincati - Pudo, Matrone, Hestnes, Rummenigge, Fauerby - Albasini, Monaco.

It was an obvious ambition of BSL to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. The wings were the focus of most of "Bovisa's attacks today. P. Albasini had a good try after 8 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. They were singing the praises of O. Caire 9 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to BSL. A. Matrone behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 10 minutes as he gave the ball away to M. Biró. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. D. Sánchez of BSL was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. After 39 minutes, the visitors levelled the scores after A. Pudo made it through the middle and struck home to make it 1 - 1. M. Repetto gave BSL the lead with a beautiful free kick after 40 minutes. 2 - 1! BSL's M. Repetto struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 3 - 1 after 41 minutes. 3 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to BSL, who controlled the ball 58 percent of the time.

The coach of BSL was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 59 minutes, R. Bras came on for M. Repetto. Coming in on the left, J. Monaco did everything right to get a goal for "Bovisa after 62 minutes, but his finishing shot was stabbed clear by the keeper. After 63 minutes, a well-worked counterattack by BSL on the right presented an easy opportunity in front of the goal that was duly converted by L. Izard to make it 4 - 1. BSL had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of BSL to 5 - 1 as D. Golovkov finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. By now, the players in BSL felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. A great save by keeper C. Edmo after 73 minutes kept the visitors in the game after M. Biró struck from the left with a real cannonball. The head of D. Sánchez connected with a corner kick after 82 minutes, and the ball ended up with L. Izard of BSL who blasted the ball into the net, making the score 6 - 1. BSL enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.

BSL's top performer was clearly R. Bras. However, S. Shipley made a disastrous appearance. Most important "Bovisa player was C. Edmo. P. Hestnes was a disappointment, however. The match ends 6 - 1.
