It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 3110 that came out to La Madriguera. Alois Matthys was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Tom Pettersen and Višeslav Ðuričko. Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Reptilico. Scaffaboys were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. After 2 minutes, the Reptilico coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving T. de Wagt off the field. B. Čajkovski took his place. C. Peralta would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. A. Renards entered the game for Reptilico as the match clock showed 3 minutes. A. Renards was the new captain of Reptilico - handed the armband by the departing player. 4 minutes into the game, Reptilico wanted to bring some new energy to their game. S. Horten gave F. Øverås a quick hug as he left the field. Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile À. Balanyà. Reptilico took the lead 26 minutes into the match after a magnificent free kick by N. Jansson that made the score 1 - 0. Good work by the Reptilico defensive line after 37 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found N. Jansson alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. It was 1 - 0 at the break. Scaffaboys claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

After 46 minutes, Scaffaboys switched I. Parada with T. Pavlakis, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. After 72 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Reptilico found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to passable. Scaffaboys's F. Mangado Pérez was shown a yellow card after 77 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Reptilico fans were dismayed when it was apparent no substitutes remained after N. Jansson's injury. The visitors' F. Mangado Pérez came close to levelling the score after 80 minutes with a free kick that went just wide of the top left corner. With the clock showing 81 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Reptilico resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by C. Luyckx in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. Scaffaboys's W. van de Kar got himself booked for a foul. Reptilico's R. García-Cardo refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 88 minutes. Possession in this half belonged to Scaffaboys, who controlled the ball 64 percent of the time.

S. Rueda Mañeru performed admirably for Reptilico. B. Čajkovski on the other hand, had a terrible day. Scaffaboys's best player was J. Zięba. F. ter Horst turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 0.
